Spring Makeover at Pierson Circle

by neighbor Nancy Karigaca

Spring has definitely sprung at the Pierson Street traffic circle. On Saturday, April 12, six volunteers, Midge and Rich Estep, Eva Modica, Robert McGillis, Cary Latham, and Nancy Karigaca spent the morning weeding and pruning, plus trying to revive some small plants that a semi had run over as it tried to circumnavigate the traffic circle. (This is the same medium size succulent that became a bunch of small ones when a car ran over it a few years ago!) Come check out how nice the circle is looking.

Waterers will soon be needed again for the traffic circle. If you are willing to help out, please contact Nancy at nkarigaca@comcast.net. Usually one person waters while the other keeps up with the weeding. Thanks to the monthly trash gatherers on MacArthur who add a loop for the circle area, there is now little trash to pick up.
