Day in the Park: at Maxwell Park Next Month!

If you're not familiar, this neighborhood-wide community event was held for nearly 15 years on the second Saturday of September, and that tradition is back on September 12, in a new format. This renewed event will be a potluck with live music and activities. Get into your picnic or camping mode and bring a dish to share with others along with your own plates, service ware, chair, and table/picnic blanket. Kids will be able to participate in face painting and many fun activities. There will be a crop swap, plant swap, and clothing exchange. So bring your backyard harvest, propagated plants, and gently used clothing, especially for children. Please mark your calendar and tell your neighbors.

The Day in the Park committee of generous neighbors have organized the event, yet volunteers are needed before, during and after the potluck to make sure it all runs smoothly and safely. Help is needed with poster distribution and removal, the day-of set-up/clean-up, supervising kids' activities, managing food items, etc. To get involved or have questions, please email maxwellparknewsletter@gmail.com.
